Four arrested in attempted burglary on near east side
Police said suspects tried to deliver empty pizza box to front door
Madison police have charged four people with attempted burglary after police say they were found trying to break into a near east side home late Monday night.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Elizabeth Street.
According to police, officers responded to a call of four men hiding outside a residence in the bushes, armed with various types of weapons and masks.
Police said the men tried to deliver an empty pizza box to the front door. When no one answered the door, police said they also tried to break into the home through a window. Once police arrived, two men were arrested at the scene, but police said two other men tried to run away before being caught by officers.
Police said all four men, Austin Justinak, 23; Jordan Kasbohm, 20; Zachary Frank, 24; and Dylan Mandeville, 23, face attempted burglary charges.
