Security/Fire Systems Service Manager
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Service Manager to lead our service operations for Electronic Security, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Audio/Visual, and Intercom systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
The Service Manager will oversee service technicians, coordinate service schedules, manage customer relationships, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive operational efficiency while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Lead and oversee daily service department operations.
- Schedule and coordinate service calls, preventive maintenance visits, inspections, and emergency response activities.
- Monitor service performance metrics and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure timely completion of service work in accordance with company standards and customer expectations.
- Manage service inventory, tools, vehicles, and departmental resources.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and develop service technicians and support staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and establish development plans.
- Coordinate technical training and certification programs.
- Foster a safety-focused and customer-centric culture.
Customer Relations
- Serve as the primary escalation point for customer concerns and service-related issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct customer site visits and service reviews.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and contract retention.
Technical Oversight
- Provide guidance and support for troubleshooting complex systems including:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Video Surveillance Systems
- Intrusion Detection Systems
- Audio/Visual Systems
- Intercom and Communication Systems
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer requirements.
- Review service reports for accuracy and quality.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Manage departmental budgets and labor utilization.
- Review and approve service quotations and repair recommendations.
- Monitor profitability of service agreements and service projects.
- Generate operational reports and performance metrics for management review.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in electronic security, fire alarm, CCTV, A/V, or intercom systems.
- 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a service environment.
- Strong knowledge of electronic security and life safety systems.
- Experience managing field technicians and service schedules.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with service management software, Microsoft Office, and mobile technologies.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Applicant will have
- NICET certification (Fire Alarm) or equivalent industry certifications.
- Manufacturer certifications from industry-leading platforms.
- Experience with access control systems such as LenelS2, Brivo, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and applicable security and life safety codes.
- Project management experience.

Hollow Metal Welder
J&K Security Solutions is looking for a skilled Welder to join our Metal Frame Production team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for fabricating and assembling hollow metal door frames using MIG welding and a variety of hand and power tools. If you’re reliable, safety-focused, and take pride in precision work, we want to hear from you!
Job Details:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
- On-site (Madison, WI)
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00AM – 3:30PM
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Weld, fit, and assemble light-gauge sheet metal frames based on shop drawings and work orders
- Grind and prep welds to meet quality and finish standards
- Use MIG welding equipment, plasma cutters, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools
- Move materials using forklifts and carts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmen
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiative
You Will Need:
- Experience in MIG welding (GMAW) and metal fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production instructions
- Comfortable with hand tools, Power tools, Cutters, Grinders and material handling
- Proper government status to work in the United States
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification (we’ll train)
- Willingness to Drive Delivery Box truck (Class D standard Driver license required)
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dependable attendance

Low Voltage/Smart Home Technician – Level 1
We are seeking a hard-working, detail-oriented individual for our Low Voltage Smart Home Installation Technician (Level 1) position. This is an entry level position within our company specializing in the installation of low voltage systems. Someone with the Tech Level 1 role will generally work under the supervision of someone with the Tech Level 2 position or higher. The ideal candidate is someone who has a basic knowledge of hand/power tools and has a general understanding of how these systems function from a hardware and software standpoint (or is hungry to learn).

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation of low voltage systems including but not limited to – distributed audio, video, security systems, surveillance, networking, access control, fire alarm, two-way communication, area of rescue, and bi-directional amplification
- Set up of device software, ensuring proper networking & communication between appropriate devices in the installed system
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior experience a plus, however, not required
- We are looking for someone with a “can do” attitude with the desire to learn the industry and advance their career
- Reliable and timely attendance
- Perform the physical installation of system in new construction, remodel, and retrofit job sites in both residential and commercial applications
- Able to lift upwards of 75 lbs. repeatedly, with or without accommodation
- Ability to perform physical labor that includes but is not limited to – going up and down ladders, going up and down stairs, working overhead, bending and twisting one’s body
- Adhere to all J&K Company Policies, OSHA guidelines, and site-specific guidelines as directed
- US citizen or foreign visitor with proper identification, current immigrant visa or other documentation
